Codi's way of dealing with this

We just told Codi that we're not going to be able to attend her first out of town volleyball tournament which is March 12-14 in Houston. She was upset with us because it's such a big tournament and she really wanted us to go. We explained that Bryan would just be getting home from major surgery and it just isn't possible. We told her that we would send Darcy with her and they could make a big, fun weekend out of it.

Right now I can hear Codi and Bryan in the game room on his laptop performing, of all things, BRAIN SURGERY on www.edheads.org/activities/brain_stimulation/.  Oh my gosh. Go to that link and check it out. It's animated surgical procedures that instructs students how to perform all kinds of surgeries. You MUST see this.

Very interesting, don't you think? We all have different ways of dealing with things. This little smarty-pants chooses this educational path.

Gotta love it.

  4. This is sad because it couldn't have happened to a nicer family. The Cruikshanks are such wonderful people. Bryan has great character and I know that he can handle this fight. Thankfully they also have a great support network of friends and family. Stay strong, keep your faith and spirits up. This will pass! We are all here to help in any way we can.

  5. Gayla, just picked up the update. Thanks for sharing. Sorry you won't be making the trip to Houston, but it's understandable. We'll make sure Codi & Darcy are well taken care of in Houston.

Also, let us know the details regarding Bryan's procedure on the 8th. Any chance that he'll be taking visitors? If so, I can sneek a 6 pack in!

Keep posting updates-you inspire us all with your faith and positive thoughts!
